Bar Free Village

Menkurem village specifies as a'' Bar Free Village''. On the face of Menkurem village there is no single mark called as bar . My ancestors says that our main deity of village Shri Devi Mauli doesn't giving permission for all this things and also traditional feni not allowed in the village .At present also villagers follows the same rules and regulation .Our ancestors says that in the olden time there were no proper roads or way in the village called as Alorna. Where the preparation of alcohol used to take place but because of no proper roads those villagers as to pass with the alcohol from our village that is Menkurem village. And the mystery is that when the Alorna villagers used to pass from our village with the fully filled canes of alcohol that quantity of the alcohol used to decrease not only that one day it so happened that the canes of alcohol only broke down. These all what I have written its true having no bar in village its like a proud feeling for us. These nature is like a God gifted and I am thankful to God for these. In today's generation the people may think that having not even singal bar in the village its like a fake story .But its not a fake story its a reality of my village which took place so many years back.
